             is of Britain's most acclaimed character basses and has sung at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, the Glyndebourne Festival, La Scala, Milan, the Palau Reina Sofia, Valencia, the Liceu Barcelona, the Opera National du Rhin, Strasbourg and English National Opera. His repertoire includes Bartolo, Basilio, Dulcamara, Sacristano and Sarastro. His commercial recordings include 1984 for EMI Classics and Lulu and Salome for Chandos Records.

He has sung at the Teatro alla Scala, Milan, the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Oper Frankfurt, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Opera de Paris, the Royal Opera house, Covent Garden and the Metropolitan Opera, New York in repertoire including Ezio, Conte di Luna, Ford, Gerard, Macbeth, the Miller, Pere Germont, Posa, Renato and Riccardo Forth.  He has recorded extensively.

                  is an upcoming basso cantante who has performed in Augsburg, Berlin (Komische Oper), Catania, Don Alfonso, Don Pizarro, Dulcamara, Genova, Hagen, St. Galen, Stuttgart and Wiesbaden in repertoire including Basilio, Bartolo, Papageno, Roi Philippe and Sarastro. Christian Tschelebiew made his debut at the Bayreith Festival in 2010, returning in 2011.  He will sing three roles at the festival in season 2012.
